Sharon’s starting point often comes from walking alone and photographing the benches discovered along the way. She is interested in simplifying the image, reducing the initial photograph to its simplest forms to create images that are quiet, calm, restful and reflective.

The Coastal Path series presents a short walk from Cold Knap, Barry along Bull Cliff and on to Porthkerry. This is a path Sharon often walks and the images attempt to capture the solitude and inner thoughts experienced on those journeys and the constant but subtle changes in light, colour and atmosphere.
